Wolves are quite commonly experienced in Labrador West. It is not uncommon to find wolf tracks through your garden in winter. As a project our visual arts group decided to paint an animal,it was only natural for me to choose a wolf.
I painted this from a photo my friend took of her daughter feeding the grey jay at their cabin here in Western Labrador. My gift to her for Mothers Day.

Beautiful speckled trout caught in the wilds of Labrador, fried in an old iron frying pan, with potatoes cooking in a saucepan which had belonged to my mother in law. (The past revisited)
As childern in Newfoundland, we loved the smell of fresh baked bread, and rushed to be the first to get a hot slice smothered in eversweet margarine and molasses.
